JACKSON, TN – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce hosted U.S. Representative David Kustoff (R-TN-08) for a roundtable discussion in Jackson, Tennessee with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4th. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.
We applaud Congressman Kustoff for working to ensure that the constituents of the 8th District of Tennessee continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.
“The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Kustoff for today’s discussion on the positive impact of the pro-growth tax provisions included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” said Brince Manning, Senior Manager of Regional Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “A competitive tax code is essential for businesses to grow, invest, and create jobs, and these provisions are helping businesses in Tennessee thrive.”
“The Working Families Tax Cuts help keep the cost of living in reach by letting Americans keep more of what they earn,” said Congressman Kustoff. “It means more money in families’ pockets, stronger job growth, and a better environment for American businesses to compete. It also delivers real tax relief for farmers and small businesses in West Tennessee. I’ve heard directly from folks across our district who say these changes are already helping them invest, hire, and plan for the future.”
“We are grateful to Congressman Kustoff for taking the time to engage with business leaders across West Tennessee on this critical issue,” said Kyle Spurgeon, President and CEO of the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce. “Extending and making permanent key pro-growth provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act gives employers the certainty they need to plan, invest, and hire. This matters for every community in our region. We appreciate Congressman Kustoff’s continued leadership and partnership on policies that strengthen Tennessee’s economy.”
The U.S. Chamber’s tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America’s Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 75 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
